Space Chickens On the Run

A new nebulous cloud of gas and newborn stars that lie about 6,500 light years away, are getting some attention this week as Astronomers dub this one the "Running Chicken". Somewhere in this connect the dots light bright, they thought they saw a fleeing fowl.

The picture, taken from the Wide Field Imager, on the MPG/ESO 2.2-meter telescope in Chile, was snapped September 21st and shares the location with the Centaurus constellation. I don't see it, but either way it is a beautiful picture.
